Sometimes the unit has a leak. If there’s a leak and we re-gas it, you’ll be calling us back 12 months to re-gas it again. But, if we fix the leak, your unit will retain gas longer and work more efficiently.
Typically air conditioners have a lifespan of 10 – 15 years and like all things mechanical, regular clean and maintenance plays a part in the longevity of the unit.
For highest efficiency and cost-effectiveness regular maintenance and clean every 12-18 months works best.
Coastal areas such as Byron Bay, Lennex Head and Brunswick however, are more susceptible to rust from the salty air and need more regular checks.
Commercial systems are best maintained on a monthly or bi-monthly basis due to a large workload.
